The Hope Mars Mission, launched on July 19, 2020, was the UAE’s first interplanetary mission and aimed to study the Martian atmosphere in detail. The spacecraft successfully entered Mars’ orbit on February 9, 2021, making the UAE the fifth country to have a spacecraft in orbit around the red planet.
The Hope Mars Mission has been a source of national pride for the UAE and has inspired a new generation of young Emiratis to pursue careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
